Oh my, it’s November already! Can you believe it? I feel this year is going both really fast and really slow. How about you?
Today, I’m joining in with #WeekendCoffeeShare. I’ve had three cups of coffee already today and it’s not even time for my afternoon coffee yet. Then again, I was up at seven o’clock this morning. I’m thankfully not too tired as of yet. Let’s have coffee and let’s catch up.
If we were having coffee, I’d tell you that the weather is surprisingly nice. We were supposed to get a lot of rain this week, but so far, it’s been raining only some of the time. This means I’ve been able to go out for walks everyday. I didn’t get in my minutes in active heartrate zones, because most of the time apparently I walked too slowly. I also went on the elliptical once.
If we were having coffee, I’d ramble a bit about my idea of restarting the polymer clay hobby. I did this for a bit some years ago, but never got beyond a child’s level with respect to my sculpting abilities. Then again, maybe if the day activities staff help me read tutorials, I’ll be able to progress somewhat further. I’m not yet 100% sure I’ll actually invest in yet another hobby that might turn out to lead to massive failure. Okay, I’m not a failure at soap making, but I’m not a success either.
If we were having coffee, I would moan a bit about my diet. I’m not sticking to it 100% of the time, but maybe I’m doing an okay job of it. I don’t know, since I haven’t been weighed in yet. I, however, try to remind myself that everytime I make a healthy food choice, I’m doing a good job of caring for my body.
If we were having coffee, I’d share that my sister, brother-in-law and one-year-old niece were supposed to visit yesterday. However, on Friday, I had a slight cold, which wasn’t fully gone yesterday morning. I also had felt slightly out of breath Friday evening. That’s probably just stress, but I canceled the visit anyway. Today I’m feeling as well as possible. We’ve rescheduled for next week.
If we were having coffee, I would tell you that tomorrow marks the thirteen-year anniversary of my mental crisis. I still find the month of November hard for this reason.
I also have been struggling with the end of daylight saving time. I’m more tired than usual and find myself going to bed very early and getting up early in the morning too. My Fitbit has noticed, as it said I seem like a morning person. I’m not. That is, right now, I’m mostly hibernating, in that even though I get up early, I sleep a lot during the day. I can’t wait for spring!
What’s up with you lately?
So nice to read that someone else drinks coffee all day as well! Thanks for the cup today – I enjoyed our chat.

Oh yes, I drink coffee all day. Never knew most people don’t.

(Hugs) Sometimes that speaks louder. I used to drink several pots of coffee a day. It’s taken me years, but I’ve cut down to 1-2 cups a day. Found I do do this thing called sleep once in a while. I, too, have had the runny nose occasional cough thing going all week. I think it’s the change of season thing. This morning there’s this odd yellowy-white globe in a blue sky…not sure what that’s about. And where did the rain go??? It’s chilly, but not too chilly. A nice morning to be outside. Might just take my laptop out to porch and sit in the sun. Sitting in the sun helps with all the seasonal things that go on. Have a great week.

Thank you. Yes, sitting in the sunshine, or generally outside, sure helps with seasonal stuff like the winter blues etc. Too bad we got rain all afternoon today. It started just as I’d published my post and hasn’t stopped yet.

Ugh. It’s been very rainy this year, barely a day without it, it seems…well, except for those three weeks back in August when we prayed for rain.

Oh, that sucks! I’m hoping you get more balanced weather soon.

I have had a couple cups of coffee already andt after 9:30. I don’t have many left so I need to be selective when I have it. I will have to pick some up next week.
I hope you get ot have your visit next week. Being sick and being sick during the craziness known as the pandemic is not something to fool around with. I had to make adjustments to my extracurricular activities between now and thanksgiving if I am having dinner with my Sister and BIl.
I just wrote about the time change myself. I am tired now even though we got an extra hour of sleep. I know it will affect me tomorrow as well.
Have a great week.

Thank you. Yes, we got an extra hour of sleep too, but still a week on (we had the time change last week), it’s possibly affecting me. Either that or it’s the winter blues.

Cool that you are restarting the polymer clay hobby. I hope you stick with it. It doesn’t matter if it is never museum quality work, as long as you enjoy the process – creative hobbies are the best!

Yes, agree about creative hobbies being the best! Thanks for encouraging me.

I’m sorry Novembers are difficult for you – I hope this one goes very well.. I myself am a morning-only coffee drinker.. If it spills into the afternoon I feel the effects of too much caffeine. Hope you have a wonderful visit!

I used to drink tons of coffee too but I gave it up since it was causing me blood pressure problems.

It was? Oh, I had no idea coffee can mess with your blood pressure. Good to know.

November has come in way to quickly and I totally understand about the hour change in the day. I’d hoped it would help me get up early, but having a harder time of it! Really want to hibernate. Hope the visit happens this week and thanks for the coffee.

Thanks for commenting. Yes, although I do get up early, I find that I’m generally much more tired than usual.

It’s a bit strange, though on the other hand makes sense, how often many people tend to fall into crises or just struggle more around the time of year when they had some major crisis years ago. That is the case with me as well. I hope this year’s November won’t be too yucky for you. I find time change awful too, my sleep cycle was particularly all over the place directly before it and now everything’s really disorganised.

The weather has been nice here today too. Bright and dry which makes a nice change.
Good luck with your hobbies. It’s worth restarting the one’s you’ve tried before. It might be easier 2nd time around.
I hope you are feeling OK now and your sister and family can come for their visit.
Sending love and hug. It does sound like a hard anniversary. x

Thank you. We canceled the visit with our sister because our husband has his birthday next week and we want to celebrate that with him.
